A Guide to Location-Based Selection:
Many Day 1 CPT programs use a hybrid format with required in-person residency or on-campus sessions. Because attendance requirements vary by university and program, choosing a campus you can realistically travel to can reduce travel time and cost while helping you meet required in-person attendance. For international students, this change underscores the importance of choosing Day 1 CPT universities that are close to their workplaces. This strategic choice not only saves valuable time but also reduces transportation costs.
However, if you're still on the hunt for the perfect internship, consider the broader picture: where do you see yourself living and growing professionally? Day 1 CPT universities nestled in or close to metropolitan hubs often attract more attention due to their prime locations.
To streamline your search, we've crafted a specialized tool. Now, you can effortlessly find Day 1 CPT universities in your desired area or even in your dream city. Dive in and discover the best location-based options for your academic and professional journey.
To discover opportunities or choose a place to establish yourself, select one of the regional options: “WEST,” “MIDWEST,” “SOUTH,” or “NORTHEAST.” The location is vital for selecting Day 1 CPT universities because, during the subsequent steps of the immigration process, the USCIS will need to understand the connection between your school and your residence.
